1/17/18 - ABT: Intellectual Property For Startups - Postponed
The mission of Atlanta Black Tech is to increase our quality + quantity in Metro's Atlanta technology ecosystem relative to startups, corporate, government, and K-12.  Please join the law firm of Smith Tempel for an informal, interactive discussion of intellectual property law and its role for startups.

Hack The Violence Demo Night
Join tech and mission-driven, influencers, professionals, community organizers, passionate people, family, and friends as teams in our Hack The Violence social impact pre-accelerator showcase their tech products focused on reducing violence.
1/25/18 - Technologists of Color: Simplified Streaming Analytics
Yolanda Davis, Senior Software Engineer and Streaming Team Lead at Hortonworks once again gives us the latest in Big Data as she explains how to use the Streaming Analytics Manager from Hortonworks.
1/27/18 - STEM Atlanta Women & NSBE:
Stemology is a gender empowerment event for students in grades 3-12 that uses Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) concepts and activities to motivate and inspire culturally responsible young minds of the next generation of leaders.
1/29/18 - Thinkful: Diversity In Tech Panel
Panel discussion on diversity and inclusion in the workplace.  We will get answers to questions such as, Are American companies too one dimensional in their approach to diversity?   What are the strides Atlanta companies have and are making towards more inclusive and diverse workplaces?

Tech Community Infrastructure

The Atlanta black tech community is supported by world-class institutions such as Morehouse and Spelman Colleges, Georgia Tech and Georgia State University.

ABT Asset Database

The asset database is a moderated repository of entities with a heavy black presence, or have a heavy influence on the Atlanta Black Tech community.  It's initial and current state is in the form of a Google docs spreadsheet.  We will soon however implement a version that is integrated with the website and fully moderated by our team.  

Corporate Support

Companies such as AT&T, Comcast, Accenture, Coca-Cola, Delta, The Southern Company and NCR all have global technology and innovation centers located in Atlanta.
